Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 23, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how SEOTopSecret uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit seotopsecret.com or use the SEOTopSecret portal at clients.seotopsecret.com (together, the “Service”). It complements our Privacy Policy.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from your browser settings. Essential cookies cannot be disabled because the Service cannot function without them.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to collect information about how you interact with a site. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixel tags — we refer to all of these as “cookies” in this policy.

2. Categories of cookies we use

Essential cookies. Required for the Service to work. They authenticate your session, remember your login state, protect against cross-site request forgery, and route you to the closest infrastructure. Without them, the Service cannot function. These cookies do not require consent.

Preference cookies. Store your theme (light/dark), language (EN or es-MX), and similar choices so the Service reflects your preferences across visits.

Analytics cookies. Measure how visitors interact with the Service so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager. These cookies are configured with IP anonymization where available and with a short retention period.

Marketing and CDP cookies. Recognize returning visitors, connect form submissions to your customer profile in our CDP (Ortto), and measure the effectiveness of our campaigns. These cookies are set only when you interact with forms or opt in.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use your content to train third-party AI foundation models.

3. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third parties whose services we rely on. The primary ones are:

  • Google Tag Manager (tag container) and Google Analytics 4 (measurement) — product analytics and traffic measurement. See Google’s Privacy & Terms.
  • Ortto — customer data platform and marketing automation. Captures form submissions and website signals tied to your profile. See Ortto’s Privacy Policy.
  • Stripe — payment processor; sets cookies on checkout pages for fraud prevention. See Stripe’s Cookie Policy.
  • YouTube / Calendly — embedded content on select pages; may set cookies when the embed is rendered.

Third-party cookies are governed by the privacy policies of those providers.

4. How to control cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Instructions differ by browser:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

You can also opt out of Google Analytics globally via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in or using the Service. Blocking analytics or marketing cookies does not affect functionality.

5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where applicable law requires it. Browsers vary in how they transmit GPC and Do-Not-Track headers, and we may not be able to detect every variant. When we detect a valid GPC signal from a jurisdiction that recognizes it, we treat it as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

6. Retention

Session cookies expire when you close the browser. Persistent cookies have expiration dates ranging from a few days (CSRF, preference) to up to 24 months (analytics), after which they are deleted automatically. You can delete cookies at any time from your browser settings.

7. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The “last updated” date at the top of this page indicates the effective date. Material changes will be announced by in-app notice.
